Ok, now that you have seen what can be done
and some after thoughts you may think of, I myself have
decided to make a few changes.
Starting in March, we will be posting Photos
of the progress and update you on the change / additions
to the pond.
Clicking on Pictures will give you a FULL SIZE Photo
Ok,
so I was in a hurry to see the water flowing
back in the pond again after so long.
Side
view of the remodeled pond. You can also see,
we added a track like border around the ponds edge with white rock to highlight
the Pond and added low voltage lighting. (Night pictures
comming next)
All
the new Plants surrounding the pond from the side.
Front
view looking towards the Island in the center of the pond.
A newly fertilized planters bed waiting for the new plants.
Right
side view at another newly fertilized box with an mandavilla
traveling up the new screened overhang.
A
closer look at the white rock track which surrounds the entire
house. The remodeled pump in the background. A temporary feed to the pond
for testing.
Ok,
here is a series of plantings from start to finish in a depth of
view to the eye.
The
first plants to go in were placed in the middle of the box.
They were the taller of the plantings. These were called Victoria Blue
Salvia.
Working
outwards in a circular motion, the next set were planted.
These are a little shorter the the first. These are called Clown Blue and
White Torenia.
The
next set to be planted were called Romance Violet Eye.
These were a little smaller again and still staying with the color scheme.
The
last set is used to open and close this box. These were
called Lavender Tapien. These are a ground cover that spreads and is very
low.
